Seriously, I can’t turn down a chocolate chip cookie.

HOWEVER, and take it from me, not all chocolate chip cookies are created equal! I’ve tried them all!

Speaking of cookies, I’ve always said that I don’t bake. Scratch that, I don’t bake anything outside of my famous salted toffee chocolate chip cookies. For years, I’ve been bringing them to work, cookouts, parties, potlucks and cabin trips. And for years, I’ve always had people tell me that they were the best cookies that they’ve ever have and that I needed to sell them.

Sounds good, right? But the way my life had been set up? The time to devote to cookies just didn’t exist. But the nudges and requests continuously came my way. Well, in December 2019, I finally answered the call to sell my cookies at a holiday event. At that affair, I made over 200 cookies and every last one sold! Folks who sampled the cookies were texting and emailing me saying they needed more cookies in their lives! I couldn’t believe it, but in that moment, I knew I was on to something special.

So for the next few months, I researched shipping & packaging of cookies and tested & perfected my recipe. I was ready to seriously consider selling my cookies as a side hustle. And then COVID-19 happened.

I was now laid off from working hospitality, confused about what to do next AND trying to figure out what to do with all of the new found time on my hands. For the first time ever, I had the time to devote to this passion project!

On April 28, 2020, I jumped head first into the cookie business and, thanks to The ‘Rona, Dem Cookies was born!
